Words and birds – just two of my passions. I combined both in a blog post I wrote for Barossa Dirt. It’s a true tale, written on the fly as my wife and I were heading on a trip.
Barossa Dirt itself was a result of early brainstorming around new media and the Barossa wine region. I was part of a small group of early adopters who promoted social media and blogs and educated other Barossa businesses on social media, blog posts, video, the whole gamut of digital marketing.
I earned a reputation for my social media work, including this lovely description in a national magazine in Australia:
“Tony Bogar at Yalumba is another early adopter who has helped drag the rest of the country into the social era. An educator in the space with a very solid grasp of what social media is all about. He’s very active on Twitter, and keeps his finger firmly on the pulse of new media.”
